Our idea of being a lady is the total opposite of today’s pop culture female icon that appears on reality television or lives out her life in the gossip pages of tabloid newspapers. It’s time for these stereotypes to end.
It sometimes seems that being a lady is no longer fashionable. It is deemed as more attractive to be in the spotlight at whatever cost then to mind your manners; therefore, the lady is at risk of becoming extinct. The days of Jackie Onassis are over.
Confident and in control
Forget white gloves and pill-box hat, the modern lady of today is self-confident, ambitious and perfectly in control of every situation both socially and professionally.
To appreciate the art of being a lady, we need to stop reinforcing the thought that being a lady means being less of an independent woman. We need to remove the mindset that to succeed in business and in life, we need to act like “one of the boys”, we do not.
Being a lady is about making everyone around you feel at ease, it is about being gracious when needed and knowing the rules of behaviour on every occasion. Being a lady, is knowing how to give others confidence in themselves and when you need to take the lead to smooth over an awkward

5 Day Residential Programme
The Elegant Hostess Finishing School is a 5-day residential programme. The Finishing School is conducted in a luxurious country house 60 miles from Cambridge. The Finishing School location is secure and has 24 hour staff onsite. Extra curricular activities for ladies include country pursuits such as riding, clay pigeon shooting, stalking and archery. Massage and beauty therapy treatments are also available after classes.
Classes take place in beautifully appointed training rooms and each lady is provided with a single bedroom and private bathroom.
